Re: Herbivore fertilizers....Spring blossoms, etc.

Which magnolia did you get, Bonnie?

And please send the puppy photo.

It's too bad dogs aren't herbivores. With all the "bull...." from 4
bulldogs around here, my compost would rival the professional stuff. (If
anyone is interested, I have a recent photo of the three we kept. I'll
e-mail them privately. Just let me know. )

Spring is off to a beautiful start! I spent 3 glorious hours outside Sunday
and did NOT want to back inside. Most of mother's transplanted peonies
(transplanted at the wrong time of the year for them) are coming up!!!! I'm
so excited!!! The daffodils were spectacular as have been tulips. The pet
garden is stunning for its 1st year. Any tips on growing magnolia trees?
How about growing weeping cherry?

Blessings,
Bonnie(SW OH - zone 5) Who is so far behind on e-mails I'll never get
caught up!!!

I know it Judy - I hate that. Wouldn't be so bad if I could toss it
in the compost piles, but you can't use dog and cat poop for that.
Only from herbivores like sheep, rabbits, cows, horses and such.

Wish I could borrow her for a week or two, Pam. Might teach the neighbor's
dogs & various strays that wander through here some manners. I don't like
fences, but cleaning up the poo in my yard makes me wish I had 6 foot
wall.

HA! Nope, new stray - never seen him before. Hasn't shown his face
since either. LOL. She cracks me up this cat does. One in a million
she is. The big obnoxious black dog from across and down the street
crosses the street rather than walk in front of our house. Mine is
the only yard he doesn't leave calling cards in. hee hee hee.

New stray in the neighborhood that hasn't learned about Sugar yet?

Donna

Well Sugar outdid herself last night. Sitting on the porch, here
comes some stray dog - big one, about Lab size but real short hair.
I
was across the street in Joanne's front yard chatting and saw her
crouch down to spring.
I started across the street - too late. She leaped at this dog,
teeth
and claws bared, tail fluffed and hissing. That mutt took one full
face swat and tore his butt down the street at light speed. She was
insufferably pleased w/ herself the rest of the evening and we
didn't
see that dog again. And she's supposed to be a senior citizen??
Amazing. She thinks she's Wonder Woman in a fur coat.
