Re: now human food- Kitten Dry Food>scheduling

Actually, quite a few at the CoOp (well- that were from several 1st world countries). Including apple juice made from apples just one town over from here. I didn't make it over to Whole Foods, so don't know about there. And I doubt that I'd have as much luck at the regular grocery store.

I am curious Theresa.... just how many things did you find to buy that didn't include something from other countries.

----- Original Message ----

AS I was happily drinking a bottle of apple juice at work yesterday I happened to catch the label that indicated it was made from apple concentrate from about 8 different countries- including China. I seriously considered tossing the rest of it. I'm just a bit concerned that we don't really know what is going into the food chain anymore. And I realize that this could be a problem from a number of countries, but given China's current track record, I'm more concerned the usual about it. So, I'm off to the store (think I'll make the trek to the CoOp or Whole Foods) and see if I can find food made in the US and Canada for now.
