Re: Iraq/late comments and ramblings
whoa really catching up here!
about the 9/11 compensation - dear to my heart because the OKC bombing
victims/survivors were not included fo several reasons. Seems that some
federal legislators (usually Sherdon and Clinton were mentioned) pushed
for the nice compensation packages for their constituents. So seems like
it doesn't matter who the political party is, their own state interests
are what motivates them since that's what elects them.
What bothers me most is that the Clinton woman was here in OKC several
times and I even got to shake her hand. Yeah, even touched Bill's hand
too but missed out of any his groping! She saw the mess and met
survivors and victims yet her own state interests seemed to erase any of
Another gripe from me and others: the comments that what happened in OKC
was NOT a terrorist action. Then what in blazes WAS it??? I do see a
distinction between domestic terrorism and what I guess is the real
terrorism but . . .Oh yeah, then there was some problem that some people
wanted to exclude attorneys from gathering some of the compensation
I think that there are mixed feelings about the military and benefits
for them. I have several friends who call themshelves "liberal" and want
the military to go away yet gripe about the poor treatment for the
service folks. I can't figure it out. If you want the military to be
financially cut back, then their benefits will be cut back.
All I know that if it's our military who prevents anyone (US citizen
especially) from having to go what I have (even though it wasn't a
"terrorist" attack), then they deserve much much more!! I personally
So the seedling from the OKC Survivor Tree means more to me everyday and
I nurture it like the Little Prince did with his precious rose. Just
think of how much has been planted in honor of the dead?!?!?!
