Gene, it makes sense to get as much mileage as you can out of the
material. I'm not comparing myself to you by any means, but the work
I've done preparing my presentation has been fairly extensive and to
have it all over and done with in an hour, seems as if I'm not utilizing
my efforts to their best extent. So for several reasons, I compiled much
of the information into a small 32 page booklet that can be taken home
by the attendees. I made about 2 to 3 times more than I'll probably need
and we can then sell them at plant sales. My presentation has about 200
slides, most of which are examples and will be moved through quickly,
but by doing it on powerpoint, it is preserved and I can use it again if
need be. Nothing like what you do, but I understand making the most of

Hello Rich,
I always send more text than is requested for an article. Gives the
editor a bit of room to play. In this case the final version of text and
photos combines leaned heavily toward the photos. Their choice. The original
text sent was about 2100 words. If I do not publish it elsewhere, as in here
or on my web site, all that material can be used as an original article for
another publication. So... stay tuned. It will pop up some place.
Actually, I turned the article into a slide presentation and lecture of
over 60 slides and hour of chat. Hopefully I will end up someplace near you
so you can attend.

According to the chat that is floating about, they didn't begin to use all
of your material. Could you share some of it with us? Rich in Z-5 where
are getting another 2-4 inches of snow right now.
