RE: Weather

Kids here got an extra day added to their winter vacation yesterday as
they were supposed to start back but couldn't because of the ice storms
that moved in. Getting to work Sunday night and home again Monday a.m.
was not fun but do-able. Monday night I rode in with a friend just in
case this a.m. things are miserable. Ceres--here they are talking 8-12
inches of snow by Wednesday with maybe another few inches on Thursday.
What are you supposed to get? I just hope the sand and salt truck crews
stay out to get rid of all the ice before the snow falls or things will
get real ugly...nothing worse than several inches of snow with ice
underneath it. Ugh...why couldn't my vacation have been this week
instead of last week when it got so warm here it broke a record that had
stood since 1929 (62 degrees in Iowa City--wow!)
