Cathy, I'm 67 so I guess they figure that's "young enough" ...for some

Good to hear. If the g-c doesn't work, that will be next. He is 62, so
I hope that qualifies as "young enough"!

Cathy, Have taken glucosamine-chondroiton for a few years but have
recently
given it up 'cause of a chance that it was aggravating muscle aches.
Have
been very pleased with the result of knee replacement done at the

Oct. and would highly recommend it. My doc encouraged me to go
ahead and do
it while I was still " young enough to handle it". I am planning on
having
the other one done this year. Kathy

Just got back from almost two weeks in Hawaii (DH had meeting, I had
relaxation). Was so glad that the roads were ok in my neck of the
woods. The doors of the car were iced shut, but once they were open
we
drove the two hours home without incident. Missed my hibiscus bloom,
but came home to flowers on 5 orchids! Has anyone tried that
glucosamine-chondroitin stuff for arthritis? DH's right knee is
really
bothering him. It didn't respond to steroid injection, and the
synvisc
(?sp) injection isn't providing much relief either. He would like to
postpone the inevitable knee replacement as long as possible.
