We pay our man-of-all-work $125.00 to mow our yard, but it's a
lot of steep up-and-down, and he edges the beds, too. It takes him
a bit more than two hours, but he is always expensive. We know
that but he is very reliable and conscientious in whatever he does.
I'm sure you would not pay a teen-ager anything like that amount.
We might be able to get it done for less, too, but we can count
on this guy for all kinds of things that need to be done.

When we are away, we do pay a teen-ager $20.00/day to come in
and feed our cats and give them water.

etsy,
wow... that is some story. I keep forgetting that it is going to get cold
in Springfield before we get back home.
I think I have hired a neighborhood boy, 15 years old, to mow, edge, water
and feed the cat while I am gone. Does anyone have any idea what I should
pay him? I am thinking hourly wages and more if he uses his own mower and
equipment. Does anyone pay to have their yard mowed? I have 2 acres but
tonight I timed my self on my zero turn mower. It took me less than 2 hours to get it all mowed then I went around to spray some round up and hauled off
some branches that I cut off this morning to the garbage cans. I was back
in the house in 2 1/2 hours and I did have one friend stop by for a garden
tour in the middle of my mowing.
He is a good kid, but he wants me to come up with what to pay him. I want
to be fair...
