I don't know when the change came about but the 1994 RHS Index has 8 listings under Ismene, all of them as being changed to various Hymenocallis species. The 2006 Plantfinder continues listing them that way. However, like many name changes, it's possible that Tropicos and IPNI don't agree with the change and continue using Ismene. Or perhaps they actually were switched back to Ismene and RHS is the stubborn one. In either case it does appear that we're talking about the same plants.

Mmm ? Neither Tropicos nor IPNI give me to believe that;
new species of Ismene described as late as 1993 and Meerow
reviewed the genus in 2003. What makes you think H = I ?
