Re: AHS Convention & Hotel Reservations

Bill and all,
Bob Solberg and Nancy were at our local meeting last weekend and ASSURED us
that if you call the Sheraton DIRECTLY (not the 800 reservations number but
the Raleigh Sheraton number WEEK DAYS 9am to 5PM)

Sheraton Imperial Hotel
4700 Emperor Road (exit 282 from I-40)
Durham, North Carolina (Research Triangle Park) 27703
Reservation Number: 919.941.5050
(registrations to be made directly with the Hotel)
Room rate: $92 a night for single or double

This discounted rate available until May 20th when you mention that you are
with the American Hosta Society Convention.

Hotel reservations must be made by May 20, 2001

(rooms can’t be guaranteed after this date—avoid disappointment register
early)

So try that on Monday and see if you get anywhere.  Tony supposedly
straightened it all out.  According to Nancy, the hotel is huge and they have
PLENTY OF ROOMS AVAILABLE!      Try it, or call Tony or Michelle at Plant
Delights if you get no where with the hotel directly.  But be sure and call
during business hours at the Sheraton, Mon thru Fri  9-5.

That's as much as I have heard.
