is taking place. Pandoras box, was introduced at the national
convention in Indinaoplis 18 months ago. It sold for around 500.00.
The plant was , I will admit , several divisions. By mid summer ,
plants of Pandoras Box, that were in many cases multi division, were
offered by the "holder, out of TC for a price that enabled me to , this
spring offer them for 45.00 @. How must the original purchaser feel. >>

perhaps the purchaser immediately put it into tc...and next year will flood
the market and PB will be 20 bucks.....lets say he sells 1000 of them at 5
bucks at wholesale...thats 5000 dollars on his 500 dollar investment....sounds
pretty good to me....

but i do realize what you are saying.....but i would further suggest that
people spending over 500 dollars for a hosta...either....dont care about the
money...or have a profit motive....when you got to have it...you got to have
it.....the majority of us just live those fantasies in our dreams.....

and finally...i like your system....you have to profit from your labor of
love....or it just isnt worth it....and i try to support the hybrwhose work i
admire, by splurging a bit and buying OS[originators stock] directly from
them....that is the only true way to reward these people......like last
year...i ordered from one of those hybridizers....i got artic rim [os], lunar
orbit [os], polished jade [os] and striker [os].....paid a bit of a
premium....but got wonderful large divisions....got them a few years before
they reach tc....and rewarded a businessman....and made a friend...so go
figure.....IT WAS WORTH IT!!!!

so i guess the next question is: IS IT ALWAYS THE BEST IDEA TO BUY ON PRICE
ALONE....i say no....for the above noted reasons.....
