Re: H. 'Bud is Wiser'

Title: H. 'Bud is Wiser'
Norm,

We have a local nursery that has a sport of H. 'Blue Angel' he calls H.'Nanticoke Angel'.
The growers name is Mike Harris and his nursery is Nanticoke Nursery. H. 'Nanticoke Angel' came mixed in with H. 'Blue Angel' stock purchased from Mobjack Nursery 4 or 5 years ago. I believe I am correct is saying that this is the same source where Rick Thompson got H. 'Guardian Angel'.

I have a couple of two division plants of H. 'Nanticoke Angel' that I will be watching carefully.

Thank You Norm for supplying us with information from your extensive hosta data bank.

Denise,

H. 'Bud is Wiser' is a white centered sport of H. 'Blue Mammoth' that is similar to H. 'Guardian Angel' and H. 'Angel Eyes' but the white center is supposed to hold longer into the summer before greening up.

Thanks!
