Re: Got the Blues---Dwarf Blue Hostas

Ran,

I too have seen a mature specimen and it is truly spectacular. When
I first say it at a friend's house labeled H. 'Blue Moon', I said it was
obviously mislabeled since the description of H. 'Blue Moon' is a small
blue and I have the real H. 'Blue Moon' and it is small. This was the
size of a mature H. 'Love Pat' and had all of its good qualities. After
some research, I found out that there were two hostas in commerce
being sold as H. 'Blue Moon', one small, one large, and the larger on
tentatively named by Mark Zilis as H. 'Blue Splendor'. I hope you are
ble to Register it this year.

Thanks!

Norm Lesch

That plant has become a spectacular blue ! It was given it's name by
Mark Zilis. It has never been registered. I have very large plants of
it, and plan, with Marks approval, to register it this year.
