Years ago, I stopped using any type of pellets for snails and slugs as the 
garden birds will peck at them.  If eaten, the pellets will kill birds.  The 
best product is the Deadline liquid, which is reactivated by rain.  There are 
several other names this product is being marketed under, but it's late and I 
cannot recall the names.  Tomorrow I will find out and post.
