Re: election - delete if not interested

Do you really mean all this hatred and distortion.  Wouldn't you even like to know the source of the original vicious piece?  I wanted to write and ask Beth that question, but thought better of it, since it was so obviously (I thought) from a certain kind of mind-set.
I am not a Bush supporter and I am not a Gore supporter.  If I read the same kind of
ugly material about Bush it would give me chills and make me shudder just as it did when I read it about Gore.  This country does not need this kind of ugliness.  If we do not like the person the public has chosen to be president, we must simply wait another four years and try again, but to try to incite us to madness is unconscionable.  Assassination and impeachment are not an ideal way to change presidents and are not what this country needs.  We need a president and congress which will get on with the country's business.  And, if it helps, remember that we do have a congress -- the president is not all powerful.

I admire your hosta knowledge, Ran, and think you are a good person.  I just thought it was time to tone down this sort of thing and not spread ugliness.

Beth, if you read this, you mentioned your source for reading material once.  Would you mind sharing it with us. Perhaps if I read more of it I would understand better.

Furthermore, I am convinced that GWBush is going to be our next president, so why waste all this emotion.

There are not words to adequately convey the revulsion that such despicable behavior summons up in one’s heart and soul.

Shame on you, Al Gore. You are truly a disgrace.

I couldn't have said it better.  Isn't it amazing how these people cheat and lie, and all the time point the accusing finger at anyone who gets in their way.  It alarms me to realize, that not less than half of the population subscribes to this.  It appears that about half of these people ( Al Gore supporters), are just as willing to twist and change the law, as their so called leaders!  I think that one of the real problems is, that there are too many Republicans, that are really nice folks, and just put up with it, hoping that somehow it will all come out OK.  After this,         any " win" by Al Gore will not hold my allegience !  He may be president for all the rest of the people in the USA, I will owe him no more loyalty, than if he was president in some South American wanna be country.  He has shown for all to see, just what an egotistical fool he really is.  our republic, has hit a real low here.
