Tree root competition and hostas

  • Subject: Tree root competition and hostas

There was a fellow who use to maintain a web page all about trees and their roots. Here is the link....but it doesn't work any longer. http://www.hostaenvironment.com/
If anyone out there knows who this person is...or where his web site is now...please let us know. This web site contained the most complete information on tree roots and tree root competition that I've ever seen.

I also asked about trees in the different Hosta lists - the rootsystems,
how it differs - because  I am also planning planting more woddy plants in
my garden - and I want some that have root system that do not compete too
much with the Hosta or what ever plants I have under. I got one privat
answer .. that is all, even it should be something many of us have to deal
with -  don't know if it is me or the subject it is something wrong with?

But I am thankful to the answer I got!
