The Great Hosta Photo Contest

Hi Everybody,
This is an official reminder that the Great Hosta Photo Contest closes tonight at midnight CST (HostaLibrary time). Today is your last chance to improve your position in the standings. The last week has seen a furious battle for the lead from our two hard-working Ohio Girls. I guess they don't do things small out there in the Buckeye State. Sensational new rookie Karen Butner has taken on top hosta photo veteran Carol Brashear in a fight to the finish. New Wade employee Karen responded to famous last-minuteer Carol's bold lead-grabbing entry of 101 new photos with 34 more of her own and closed the lead to only 27, but before she could get her batteries charged again Carol sent in another 40. It's looking like that may be too much for Karen. Does she have one more ace up her sleeve, or is she out of hostas to photograph? Today will tell.
Another battle is shaping up for positions 6,7,8, and 9. Recent additions by rising hosta photo talent Alttara Scheer moved her quietly past snoozing Mike Ewald into a tie with Kent Terpening for the # 7 spot. But sharp-eyed Kent was watching and responded quickly with another burst to put him 7 ahead and only 3 shy of a resting Bev Stegeman for the # 6 position. Will they finish that way? Or do they have a few more we haven't seen yet? Are there any hostas left to photograph?
