Re: [IGS] succulent species
The best source for well-illustrated pelargonium species, both
caudiciform, succulent, tuberous, etc. are the three volumes of
Pelargoniums of Southern Africa by J.J.A. van der Walt and others,
published by Purnell (Vol. 1, 1977) Juta (Vol. 2, 1981) and Annals of
Kirstenbosch Botanic Gardens No. 16 (Vol. 3, 1988) in South Africa.
The Geraniaceae Group in England has an excellent book list and have
sections on both sarcocaulons and monsonias. These are available for
purchase and may be obtained by writing to Geraniaceae Group Book Sales,
Richard Clifton, 7 Crabble Road, Dover, Kent CT17 0Qd, England.
