I see that I was rather vague about that.
I have hardy GERANIUMS outside, 20 varieties.
I have ZONAL pels on the first bench in the door.  I understand the
botanical differences and how the word geranium is used inappropriately,
but she was focused on the zonals.  She wasn't talking about the
I had one plant left on a table that was sold to me as a Starburst
geranium.  In a 6" pot, with flower heads the size of softballs.  They
also cost nearly 3 times as much as what I pay for the zonals in 4"
pots.  She said THAT is what geraniums USED to look like.  The
Starburst  is supposed to have marbled color in the petals, and this one
did not, thus it did not sell.  But just what is IT, compared to the
cutting zonals that I'm selling?
I'm simply confused as to who is crazy here....the customer or me.
