You almost make me feel guilty.  I was driving to the local nurseries posting
flyers for Robin's talk about scented pelargoniums and you were in the midst
of monsoon conditions.

I did see something that truly personifies Southern California though.  There
was a very tanned, blonde young man (looked like early teens) who was
obviously on his way to the beach as he was carrying his surfboard and wearing
nothing but swimtrunks ... while skateboarding down the sidewalk towards the
ocean.  Only in San Diego!
