I've never seen it except in a picture, and it is very very red. 
However, who knows? iris look so different depending on where they 
grow, and when the picture was taken. But I do like that color, 
despite its dubious authenticity.
Your iris photos are great. Here in NJ, it is awful; one day warm 
weather and iris think it is time to grow, then it freezes and they 
get all frustrated. Some even look...dare I say it...a little rotten.
