Thanks so much for the info, Kathy!  A friend who is very interested in green irises is attending the upcoming convention and wanted to know the name so he can look him up.  I know your 2005 tour will be fabulous.

Richard Richards is a southern California hybridizer in Region 15.  His green seedling was quite a hit on our members-only Mini-Tour of our 2005 Guest Gardens here in Tucson, AZ.
Our 2005 Region 15 Trek AND Society for Louisiana Irises Convention will be held April 20-22, 2005 in Tucson, Arizona.  We have some fabulous guest gardens & should have TBs, LAs and Spurias in bloom.  Many of Patrick's photos came from our gardens.
This will be the first time the SLI has come out of the South for a convention & I think you will be surprised at the quality of LA bloom here in the desert.  It is an exciting thing to see the irises in bloom against the backdrop of Saguaros in the desert.
Ray Schreiner will be our speaker at the R15 Awards Banquet.  The SLI will be having a Symposium and auction, among other activities.  There will be Judge's Training, also.
The Radisson Hotel will be our headquarters.  In May, there will be updated information and a Registration Form on our website:  TucsonIris.org
Here are a couple of photos to whet your appetite.
