First Bloom Ever! Amber Amulet

  • Subject: [PHOTO] [iris-photos] First Bloom Ever! Amber Amulet

I'm pretty happy as this is my first iris to bloom -- irises begin blooming in late March here (though they're late), and so I've been waiting patiently!

This is Amber Amulet, Fred Kerr, 1999 (in a pot, and, apparently loving it b/c she has four more buds on this stalk!) Since the plant is in a container, I got all experimental with my new camera and made the second one in front of a frosted glass window--it's kinda pretty in its own way I guess ...
