Blooming Today: Rustle of Spring

"Rustle of Spring"  Grosvenor

This is blooming on a stunted stalk; I don't know what causes this, am just hopeful that next year it will grow normally (this is its first year). I was excited when the flower opened this morning because I really wanted to see the color: it is quite an unusual shade. The picture here accurately reflects the color as it is blooming for me here in Myrtle Beach.
