A stalk from one of those I call the 'Schreiner blues'. They seem to have
adjusted to being banished to purgatory. This is the first of the group to
bloom this year and telling me that I'm approaching the end of iris bloom.
They are among the last to bloom here. By the time they have finished
blooming, there will only be a couple of stragglers and a ton of spent
bloomstalks to remove.
