Thank you, Betty.  Sorry that your club is not having a show.  What happened to have them cancel it?  We worry every year that we won't be able to find a place to hold one.  Also, we are having great difficulty finding a place to hold a fall sale.

Thanks again,

<<An excited Jan>>
Congratulations Jan.  Hope everyone posts the 'Best Specimen' shots.  I'm going to have to live vicariously through the rest of you this spring.  I've been told we aren't having a show this year.
I've not been to meetings since last fall due to rehab and baby sitting.  Friday was the first time I've talked to anyone from our club.  I've been to every show since the club started many years ago.
Any Region 7 judge/judges that want to stop by my garden on their way to other parts of the region are welcome.  You guys know I love to talk about irises.  I have seedlings, but there are a large number of recent irises bought for breeding.  Just a warning---I' ve not been able to clean the garden well for three years.  If you're fussy about weeds and grass, be forewarned!  I'm working on it, but slowly.  (Email me privately for directions.)

San Fernando Valley Iris Society, SFVIS, had the first day of our Spring Show today (Saturday).  I just wanted to show everyone my Queen of Show.  I won with Michael Sutton's 2009 TB Raspberry Swirl.  I couldn't believe it!  The last time I won was about 1992.   Among other things, the judges were especially taken with the wonderful color.

Thank you to Mike for his wonderful hybridizing!

An excited Jan in Chatsworth
