If the clump still looks big and healthy then it isn't
overblooming. Maybe you have that elusive zone 3 consistant rebloomer!
I like your seedling, reminds me a bit of I've Got Rhythm.

I'm not sure I really approve of summer rebloom! This
seedling has now produced the 5th summer stalk this year! Stalks 1-3
bloomed in July and stalks 4-5 will bloom in August. Will there be
anything left for the fall bloom? Guess I will have to count mature
plants to see.
1510-1Re: Planted spring 2001. Survived late
frost in 2002, but didn't spring bloom. July 2002=1 stalk, spring 2003=2
stalks, July 2003=3 stalks, Aug 2003=2 stalks. Clump still looks full
and healthy! (LOL! )
Picture. This was taken last weekend.
I cut a bloom to take to the rhizome sale. Unlike the yellow seedling,
this picture is a bit too dark. It was taken outside and there was too
much morning shadow. I'll do better by spring. Thought you might
like to see it anyway!

is probably the strongest rebloomer I'm getting out of Innocent Star.)
