  Just cover over all holes but one. pour bleach down that hole and cover over. If they don't pop-up somewhere within 3-5 minutes they are usuallly terminal. Small critters have rapid respiratory rates so they can't breathe the chlorine gas for very long. It also has no effect on the food chain that so many poisons do.
