  • Subject: [PHOTO] [iris-photos] BILLIONAIRE
  • From: "Riley Probst" <rprobst02@earthlink.net>

Attached is a digital photo I took today, Friday December 3rd, of BILLIONAIRE, Byers 1987. Not bad for zone 6. It is in a somewhat protected location near the hotel building. The photo was taken at the Sheraton Westport Chalet planting for the 2005 AIS Convention maintained by Shirley Trio. BILLIONAIRE is not a guest iris but was one planted at the hotel by Shirley from our home garden. It along with CORN HARVEST, AUTUMN BUGLER, MARIPOSA AUTUMN, ANXIOUS, EMMA DOODLE, to name a few have caused quite a stir with employees in the area and hotel guests!
Please come to the 2005 AIS Convention May 9-14, 2005 in St. Louis, MO and see several hundred blooms in this garden and see thousands more irises in the other gardens that will be on tour.
