I was asked offlist if I could post some siblings of the LADY FRIEND X
SATAN'S MISTRESS posting. Here are three (four if you count the one in the
background of the first photo - that's a different clump). They all had
similar form. Not good enough. They have the non-fading characteristic of
SM, but also play tricks on how they look in different light like LF. Their
strong point has been growth, willingness to bloom and the color. Not bad,
but not enough, I think. These were among my very first crosses. I'm not
at all sure I've progressed. If you read this, Griff, then I have daubed
some with arilbred pollen but not with TBs. I've had very few of those
germinate and none that survived to bloom. If they continue to stay around,
chances are pretty good that they'll get hit with arilbred pollen again.
Most irises that bloom a lot here tend to have that happen.
