I live just south of Modesto, in Ceres.  Yes the weather is great here today.

I too thought that this iris might be City Lights. 

Where in Ca. are you?  We are  North of Sacramento.  I am going to check to see if our City Lights is blooming.  It will be in about an hour that I will check for you.

Here is a picture of my first Iris for 2009 I don’t know the name of it but I like the looks of it for this early in the season.  I live in Central Calif where the Almond trees are beginning to bloom.
