This is a so called "green " iris from the 60's that I grow here in Champaign, Illinois.  As Harold said, the greens tend to be actually yellows but with a greenish tint to them. You can see this a little in this picture. I noticed that up close the iris tended to look yellow while from afar it had a definite greenish color to it.  The underside of the falls are greener than the top side of the falls. Unfortunately you don't normally see that side.
It's an interesting iris but not interesting enough. It is on my kaboom list for later in the summer. If anyone is interested just let me know.
