What is a perfect iris? Just about as many answers as people.How about a
iris that blooms all the time? I would get tired of them, like eating the
same food every day.

The anticipation of bloom is part of the lure of the Iris.

I have a problem going to a big iris garden with hundreds of different iris
blooming at the same time. Over load of data input.
Annuals that bloom all summer are nice but more like a growing fixture like
a shrub, just more color. Constant blooming iris would become a fixture
To me the anticipation of iris bloom and the reward when they do is what it
is all about.
Iris are perfect now, just pick which one is right for you.
