Blooming today

Here is one blooming this morning in my garden.  It is supposed to have irregular splashes on it, but I’ve never seen any.  With this crazy weather which dumped us right out of winter into summer, all the iris stalks seem to be short of buds, 4 to 5 on all of them.  Temperatures above 90 degrees F. wreck havoc with hybridizing plans.  Fortunately we are supposed to get a cool down next week.
