I had wondered if it was an AB from its shape.  Glad I got an ID.

Thanks Jan.  Glad to see you got your unknown plicata id'd as well.  I would never have thought that was an AB.

Hi Adam and All,

Adam is correct in that I sent the wrong photos.  Those were NOT Fine Mess.  I am sending the correct photos for Fine Mess in a separate email.  The photos I sent, and am resending here, are actually for Burseen's 2008 TB  named MAYPEARL.

Sorry for the mixup,

Jan in Chatsworth

Hi Jan!

Are you sure that photo was 'Fine Mess?'

I don't see the honey-tan in the standards, or the broken color.

Do you by chance have in this photo 'Osay Canuc'?

Beautiful Flower, though!  And thanks so much for the growth info.  I'll be interested to see it in a guest garden sometime.  :-)

I really like the flowers, including the 4s.

It does okay.  I have two stalks in bloom right now.  Not bad for a 2nd year clump.  But there are only a total of 4 fans, two blooming and two for next year.  It has 5 buds per stalk.  Here are a couple of shots of a normal flower.

Hey Jan,

How does this iris perform for you?  Buds, stalk, and plant qualities?   My wife really likes your photo!  Regardless if it has 4 standards and falls.  :-)

This one is beautiful but, of course, not perfect.

And Fine Mess, a 2009 Sutton TB, is in bloom today with 4 falls.
