{Disarmed} Re: Photographing blue/purple blooms

I find that it is always quite tricky and always jump with joy when the effect is accurate!!!!!  LOL
But, my son showed me how to use the manual setting on my camera.  Every one is different, but by using the manual setting you can set the shutter speed, amount of light that enters, delete flashes and numberous other things that affect the color settings.  The shutter speed and light variance makes big differences, I find.  I have been very happy with most of mine.  I occasionally have trouble with dark purples and still work with settings on them.  If you want more detail on the specifics that I set on my camera feel free to email independently and I will send the settings to you!  Good luck

Since it's not bloom time here, I thought I would pick everyone's brains in advance of next spring.
Are there some tricks to getting photos of the blue - black - purple varieties to be color accurate ??
I use a SONY digital camera that permits some adjustment, and I also use Adobe Photoshop to do the editing of the photos - and that permits a ton of editing options like changing the histograms, etc.
If no one here knows, maybe we can network and find out since it's something I bet we'd all like to know...
