There is no reason that the Tall Bearded Iris Society should be a part of the 
American Iris Society other than for the spirit of cooperation. The AIS board 
has placed restrictions on affiliation with them which are a deal breakers. 
TBIS does not need to be a part of AIS to fulfill its purpose. The reverse 
may not be true.
