re: HYB: orange vs apricot

If apricot has no alternate yellow, is there any way to tell/guess from published descriptions whether or not an iris is actually "orange" with alternate yellow or if it's "just" apricot, with no alternate yellow?

For example, AUTUMN RIESLING looked pretty "orange" to me, but the description is (Schreiner, R. 2006) Sdlg. KK 1242-A. TB, 40" (102 cm), ML S. orange apricot (RHS 24C); F. orange apricot (21C), yellow at center; beards tangerine. Orange Blossom Special X Status Seeker. Schreiner 2006

I assume Schreiners wouldn't register something as having a 'tangerine' beard if it weren't tttt, but maybe that's not so.

ORANGE BLOSSOM SPECIAL (Schreiner, R. 1999) Sdlg. CC 796-1. TB, 36" (91 cm), L Bright cadmium orange (RHS 23A); beards tangerine;

STATUS SEEKER (Lilly Gartman, R. 1988) Sdlg. 82-24B. TB, 38" (97 cm), M-L Coral; orange beard.
