TB: report - Leading Light

Speaking of new aquisitions & performance here, the only one that really
sticks in my mind is LEADING LIGHT (Shoop, recent intro) - dang, what a
monstrous growing weed! Beautiful bloom (showy orangey, yellow,
apricot), not at all affected by late freezes (stalk not stunted, bloom
placement & appearance normal, & NOT protected from any weather). It
has put out an incredible amount of increase - not a usual thing here,
other than for some of the rebloomers, especially those prone to sudden
freeze damage. I can't remember if this one has rebloomer background or

It will be interesting to see how this does next year having had to set
stalk/flower buds on new growth here compared to just carrying over the
winter the good care it undoubtedly got from Keith Keppel before
arriving here last year.
