Re: Evaluation Criteria

Hi Dana,

Your problem with guesting iris can be solved by sending your iris to the Dr.
Loomis Iris Trial Garden in Colorado Springs. Iris are tested over a three
year period and our point scored yearly. Each iris hybridizer receives a
printout of every iris in the garden. This printout tells how the iris scored
in each area, according to the AIS judges handbook.

This is a good place for a new hybridizer to showcase iris. Awards have been
given to many famous hybridizers but also to some people you have not heard
of. Some new hybrids guesting at these gardens and then going on to stardom
include Tennison Ridge, Conjuration, Thornbird, and the list goes on.
