The Iris This is an oversize (14 1/2 by 9 1/2 inch ) bound green cloth book with title in gold. There are loose multiple newspaper and magazine articles and pictures in the front. All on iris and most are from the Journal of Horticulture and Cottage Gardener dating 1880- 1897. Pictures vary and are both in color and black and white. The book itself seems to be a presentation copy of all the articles written on iris by Eden Phillpotts for Country Life Magazine starting in 1905. Chax, Alexander, Iris Varietal Song, a poem printed as a broadside on hand-made paper and published in an edition of 30 by the Chax Press in Tucson Arizona in 1987. Written when all the varieties of iris bloomed at the Tucson Botanical Gardens. 1 @ $50.00
