Re: HYB: SDB: TB: IB: role of TBs in SDBs used to make IBs?

Hi Linda,
The original SDBs were crosses of TB X I. pumila. There also could be some
IBs in the back ground of SDBs. These are SDB X TB, but may have been small
selections that were then crossed back to SDBs to get seedlings with the
proper sizes to be classified as SDB. I have also found unnamed TBs in
ancestries I have researched. I think they may have been seedings which the
hybridizer did not bother to provide parentage for. This is upsetting when
you are trying to indentify the source of a particular characteristic.
