Re: AIS: Region 7 winter potluck

Got an offlist request for more info re: the Region 7 winter potluck.

The annual February Potluck is a fun meeting, much appreciated by those
of us wondering if spring will ever return. Thanks to much-appreciated
efforts of Hilda Crick, meetings are usually held at Henry Horton State
Park, on or near the last weekend in February.

The events begin with a potluck dinner on Saturday evening, always with
many wonderful homemade goodies. The dinner is followed by a brief
business meeting and evening entertainment. Thanks to a lot of
creativity, often with Earnie and Debbie Royal as ringleaders, we follow
being stuffed with good food by a lot of laughter and fellowship,
especially during Iris Bingo. Hugh Thurman often finishes off the
evening with beautiful slides of irises.

Sunday morning begins with leftover goodies or regular breakfast from
the Henry Horton Inn. The weekend finishes up with a morning judge's
training session.
