Subject: yellow japanese?

A knowledgeable gardener (more than me most of the time!) and friend has
been telling me for the past two years that there are yellow japanese
iris. I pooh-pooh him, but can anyone comment?

Japanese hybridisers are intensively working on creating hybrids between =
JI X I.pseudacorus. One of them Mr.Mototeru Kamo which about 5-6 years =
ago still had such a hybrids. I have sent him a samples of our yellow =
flag I.pseudacorus from different places for his work. He have sent me =
some his hybrids, but sorry they are not good grovers for me. One or two =
died, others are living, but not flowered yet. He have sent me lot of JI =
slides too and among them there is one yellow Aichi-no-kagayaki. It is =
single flower with very broad fals and almost without standards. Form is =
semiflaring. Colour cream yellow /to decide from slide maybe give =
mistake/ with beautiful dark yellow signal and with well visible =
markings around, like those for I.pseudacorus. How can be called such =
hybrids: Iris japancorus, Iris pseudacopanese, depending from parents =
order?

Edmundas from Lithuania,=20
where we instead cold WINTER all the time had humid, rainy AUTUMNS =
weather.
