> I wound joining both the species iris
society and the dwarf iris society...Have been wondering if I really need to join AIS as well?

Diana,

The Species Iris Groups (SIGNA) allows non-AIS members to subscribe to the newsletter and participate in the seed exchange - basically a non voting membership. To be a full fledged member you must be AIS because by definition we are a part (section) of the AIS.

If you haven't put your check in the mail you can save it an extra trip aross the country by sending it to the new SIGNA membership secretary:

Rodney A. Barton
3 Wolters St.
Hickory Creek TX 75065

Welcome to Iris-talk and SIGNA!
