In WNY there is increasing interest for LA's ... pushing the edge of
hardiness.  Actually these things are more tolerant of weather extremes than
you'd think.  So your popularity poll would be more meaningful here if I knew
where the votes were coming from... does the LA Society reference the
hardiness or the region?
