Wow, excellent!

I don't know much about Ruby. Does it run on a PC or is it a browser add in (or ??)? Does it require a certain version of Excel?

Would he (and you) be willing to share that program and allow me to make it available on the irisregister website? I would certainly be willing to show authorship (although maybe he would not want people calling him for help modifying it...)

My son wrote a program in ruby that will download iris database info from a list of names. The info downloads and parses into an excel database that I then transfer it into an access program my other son wrote for me. My 850
cultivars took about 15 minutes to download into my computer.

The info links up with my picture database and the flowers appear with the
data base info in my iris program.
