OT - Obituary

The Tulsa Area Iris Society buried its most-valued member yesterday, May 23,
2003. R. Dean Brand, Jr., age 62, died after cardiovascular surgery. From
1977, Dean won 20 Queen of Show awards (we normally have two shows each year)
and innumerable Sweepstakes awards. He was our authority for identifying those
NOIDs we all have in abundance and always was available to help those of us
who needed his knowledge.
His widow Georgia, his many relatives and friends, his co-workers with the
Postal Department, and all the members of our Iris Society will miss him very
Bill Blair
