Re: REF: SLI Book Shipping and Handling

TO SANDY IVES AND ALL CANADIAN IRISARIANS:

The Society for Louisiana Irises new book can be purchased by Canadians for
a substantial discount through the Society. The SLI board set two prices
for shipping the book to Canadians: airmail shipment is $8.50; surface is
$7.50. The book itself is priced at $25.00. All quoted prices are in U.S.
currency.

SLI also invites all Canadians to join the Society. Louisiana Irises will
grow in much of Canada, and we have several members in the country who do
just that.

Here's a summary of the SLI dues structure:

Annual membership outside the U.S. = $15.00
Triennial membership outside the U.S. = $40.00

IMPORTANT NOTE: These dues were adopted at the SLI board meeting last
April -- but they do not go into effect until January 1st. So, you have
just over one month to take advantage of the old rates...which are:

Annual dues outside the U.S. = $10
Triennial dues outside the U.S. = $25

The best bargain is a LIFE membership (for U.S. or International) = $125.00
One does not have to be actuarially gifted to figure out the savings!

So, get out the check (or cheque!) book and send payment to the following
(for both the book and/or memberships):

Elaine Bourque
SLI Treasurer
514 Garenne Rd.
Lafayette, LA 70508

I'm expecting an avalanche of new members and book buyers from Canada!

Secretary, SLI
