REB: stalks!
  • Subject: REB: stalks!

Hooray! Two of the HARVEST OF MEMORIES X RENOWN kids have stalks showing. Maiden bloom for both of these was fall 2009 (2008 seeds). So they are actual rebloomers!

Given the heat and drought the past couple of months, these probably qualify as "summer"/warm season rebloomers here. If not, at least they are very early fall.

One of several crosses to see how "packages" of rebloom are inherited/expressed here from crosses of relatively unrelated "summer" blooming lines. (HoM is a very early fall cycle rebloomer here, so almost qualifies as a "summer").

No surprise, all the seedlings in the cross were white, none with particularly modern form, but great encouragement to work more (HoM x A) X (RENOWN x B), HoM X (RENOWN x A), (HoM x A) X RENOWN & reverse crosses.

One of this type in the fridge from this year - RENOWN X very tall large flowered yellow:(HoM x TREASURED).
