Re: Asa Gray Award - forward from Tom Croat

Dear Steve:

Thanks so much for working with this publication. I know personally that while many people no longer use Aroid-L it is still a place where there are many people that are not on Facebook or one of the other social sites.

I hope that all is well with you and your family.

Are you by chance planning to attend the 14th International Aroid Conference this summer?

All the best,

Tom

Subject: [Aroid-l] Asa Gray Award - forward from Tom Croat

Aroiders,

I'm forwarding a message from Tom that the listserver rejected because it had too many recipients. I'm emphasizing this primarily so that everyone will know that if you try to reply personally, it will go to me rather than Tom. I'll let you know and/or forward it on to Tom, but that may take hours or overnight. (If you reply to the list, then of course everyone, including Tom, will see it.)

Steve

From Tom:

Dear Aroiders:

Since the attached article deals a lot with my work with Araceae I wanted to share it with you. I know that many of you might not subscribe to Systematic Botany. The article by John Pruski and Guy Nesom attempts to justify their nomination of me for the Asa Gray Award, one that I received in Alaska in August during the Botany 2023 meetings there.

Best wishes,

Tom
